Debt is one of the most discussed issues in society. It is one of the major causes of divorces among couples. This post focuses on people who are already in debt and practical principles for them.
Debts can result in health risks like hypertension, headache, stomachache, heart attack, stress etc. So how can you deal with debts?
Take it as a familial matter. Instead of blaming each other talk productively. Analyze the situation. If you have children grown enough to understand the situation then include them in the discussion. Never feel ashamed because a second opinion will always be helpful. In the discussion, list your budget and daily expenses. Write down amount coming to your home and going out of your home. Keep all the bills. Now prioritize your needs. Why? WANTS and NEEDS are different. How? See this, A says “I want to eat a pizza” B says “I need something to eat”. Got it? WANTS can be postponed or avoided but NEEDS are our basic requirements. Then on prioritizing you will find some are unwanted and can be avoided. Taking the lunch with us, preferring public transports or walking whenever you can, making your hobbies into a business, sometimes working one more hour etc. can bring you additional income.
Talk to creditor honestly about your financial situation and ask for an extension. It might not be successful but keep on asking it. Some creditors will reduce if you pay a little now. Make every agreement on paper so that no one may deceive you. Read and understand about the policies, interest rates etc. because sometimes creditors can be deceptive.
Try these steps. May this help you if you are in a crisis. Wish you good luck. Never give up because success is a NEED.
Please comment feedback and suggestions.
Each one of us, from a nursery kid to PM is under some kind of stress. Stress has good and bad effects. It is the stress that gets you out of dangers on road or in work. But too much stress can make you sick physically and mentally. Therefore we need stress. Stress will stay with us till we expire.
So the only way is stress management about which most of us have read. We read it, follow the rituals to reduce and manage them. So here are a few which are found very practical.
Let us start from children. Childhood stress should not be underrated. Stress will be evident from his or her actions. But it affects their character the most. This may lead to unusual behavior or poor self-confidence in future .Thus the long term exposures to stress can cause a substantial reduce in their mental health. Parents should take care about this and keep a cool atmosphere for them.
When moving to stress in adults, each one should take care themselves. Crowded air, noise, depressing situations, high pressure jobs, break ups, problems with mate and a lot of other situations can bring you under stress. Exercise, good sleep, talking to a beloved one, music … will help you for sure. But the important point is that, make your STRESS to a PRODUCTIVE one.Ask yourselves: How productive I’am?. Now think about a situation which you were under stress and you managed it well, everyone will have one such. So get motivated imagine some situations which will be likely to occur in future and make you ready because stress is yours. ATTITUDE is another point. With which attitude you approaches something, so will be the results. Keeping a GOOD VIEW for each and every thing you approach. From folding your bed sheet to a deadline job keep a good view.
Tip: Practice it for 2 days and encourage others. You will see a remarkable hike in your ability to cope with stress.Good Luck. Give your SUGGESTIONS please.
Pareto’s principle states that, for many phenomena, 20% of input is responsible for 80% of the results obtained. It is also known as 80–20 rule. Italian economist Wilfred Pareto created a mathematical formula in 1906 to describe the unequal distribution of wealth in his country. He observed that twenty percent of the people owned eighty percent of the wealth. Dr. Joseph M. Juran called the 80/20 Rule to Pareto, calling it Pareto’s Principle. Pareto’s Principle or Pareto’s Law as it is sometimes referred can be an effective tool to help you manage effectively. It is a common rule of thumb in business, for example “80% of your sales come from 20% of your clients.” In business 20 percent of your staff will cause 80 percent of your problems, but another 20 percent of your staff will provide 80 percent of your production. It reminds you to focus on the 20 percent that matters. Of the things you do during your day, the only 20 percent really matters. Those 20 percent produce 80 percent of your results.
Pareto’s principle is also applicable in science, math, software, sports, health etc.
Last 1% takes longer than the completed 99%. There are many examples to support this statement. For example progress bars we see on computers, the last period last minute, last minute of a match etc. The 90+ percent it runs fast and rest is sluggish.
In software development if you do not follow SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) 99% complete syndrome happens. If you ask developer about the progress he/she may say development is in final stage of just 1% is left .Most probably, this last 1% will drag on to days, weeks, and even few months. Either something was wrong in the SDLC or they failed to follow up. Developers should evaluate the amount of effort needed to complete remaining tasks in hour. Usually instead of this people tend to consider the amount of work gone through against the original estimate.
If you hear someone saying that they are 99% complete. It indicates that they still have much to complete and the person has no idea when it will be completed.
If you have landed in this page or any page regarding the above subject it is a good sign of your NEED to change provided if you have the problem of speaking publicly. Today I’m writing a different subject. I could never resist the pressure to write this. What happened is one of my colleagues Dufresne has given a speech today. You might be thinking what is forte in his speech so as to mention it to public. I knew him since his childhood and dear reader I have never seen such an introvert like him. He never goes to a function or speaks anything publicly. He usually stayed away from crowd. Whenever he was asked to do something on stage he used to flee from that occasion. But today he has done the incredible hulk thing. He broke the barrier of facing a crowd and done the job exceptionally well. After class I asked him “How did you do that man”. He told me some amazing facts.
First thing is that he ‘NEED’ to change. He then realized the intensity of his social phobia. He told himself that he will change. Every day since then he wished people whom he never used to acquntaince with. That gave him an idea about how society ‘VIEW’ the society. Secondly he started setting goals. He set short term goals with a deadline and accomplished them. This process increased his ‘WILL POWER’ in the backend. This also helped him in developing good habits. From short term goals to long term goals it went. Thirdly he used his ‘CHANCE’. When he got the assignment of a speech he prepared well in depth, done it in front of mirror, done it during shower adopted his own way of speaking and so on. He prepared so well in a manner that he has the immense understanding about the topic than the audience. This boosted his ‘CONFIDENCE LEVEL’. He also visualized his class in mind told himself that all are alike and told himself ‘yes I can do’. This routine for 10 to 15 days pulled the stage fear from him. This deserves a token of appreciation for him. He is a changed man today.
This is an actual experience and may this help you.
